Michael Jacksons Memorial Service...We will miss you Michael

I watched today, as millions and millions of others around the world did, the touching memorial service to the King of Pop...Michael Jackson. I watched as celebrities like Magic Johnson, John Mayer, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey, Usher, Smokey Robinson, and others gave words of comfort and tribute to Michael and his family.

Michael was a great performer and showman, who gave us countless hit songs and music videos, but today showed us that he was more then a bunch of Gold Records and awards...Michael Jackson was a human being. He was someone who laughed and cried. He was someone who felt pain. He was a son, a brother, and a father. Sometimes we look at celebrities as objects instead of people. Michael's contributions not only came from his music, but from his heart. He gave his time and money to so many charities and causes. He holds the Guinness Book World Record for giving to the most charities by any single person.

So if I take one thing away from today it is that Michael Jackson, no matter what problems he faced in his career, was a humanitarian, a Father, and a human being with a special gift that brought joy to millions...Rest in peace Michael..We will miss you.
